Philips Hue has added some new products to their 2019 catalog.
Notably they now have an Edison style bulb, that mimics the filament style incandescent bulbs from the early days of electricity.
Although they are high efficiency LEDs, these bulbs provide a soft warm glow that cannot be altered like the rest of the Hue lineup.
The Filament collection will be available in October and will come in three different sizes; the traditional A19 light bulb shape ($24.99), ST19 tube ($27.99) and G25 globe ($32.99).
Philips Hue has now also joined the Smart Plug game, offering their own version of the incredibly popular device.
The Philips Hue Smart Plug is designed to be used with any table or floor lamp, turning them into a Hue controllable light.
At $39.99, the Hue Smart Plug is rather pricey. However, fans of the brand will certainly appreciate having all of their lighting controllable in one location.
Philips Hue already has a range of remote controls, be it the Hue Dimmer Switch, or the Hue Tap Remote.
They have now added the Philips Hue Smart Button to their ecosystem.
Just like you would expect, you click it once to set a scene, and tap again to turn off.
It also has dimming capabilities by pressing and holding the button.
The Hue Smart Button can also set different scenes depending on time of day. So you can tap it to turn on a cool blue white light in the morning, and then tap it at night to get a nice warm orangey glow.
It will also be available in October for $19.99
Lastly the Philips Hue Go light has been updated for the first time since its 2015 debut.
Just like the rest of the new Hue lineup, it will support Bluetooth connectivity, as well as better battery life and a slightly redesigned rear stand when it’s charging.
The new Hue Go will be available for $79.99 in November.
We are also still waiting for the new Color GU10 bulb to be available in North America, and we can assume it’ll be on sale in October along with the rest of the new lineup.
